L O A D I N G

My name is Oswald, I came into this world in '46, naked and empty-handed, just as I will leave.

About everything that happened in the interval between the first act and the last, I can say little since it is in the drawer of memories, and to reach them I must open the floodgates of memory.

I won’t do it, it’s not worth it, I won’t find what I left but something that time has transformed, as happens in nature, into waste and detritus. In short, a lot of shit.

We are what we do.

I can only tell you about what I do:

Between POP ART and NEOPLASTICISM

The work you see is characterized by the use of different styles, supports and materials; paper, fabric, wood, methacrylate,… and for the intention of always maintaining the search for originality within my personal vision.

I like to present myself as an aesthetic creator and not as an artist, a tantrum that turns into a protest and an attempt to distance myself from a market that is too conditioned.

Totally surrendered and dazzled by the color, I always present it in its most striking, strong, vigorous, lively and strident format, without any fear or shame.

I often incorporate letters into my pieces, but unlike Braque, I use them like a Dadaist, I don’t want to say anything; However, with their placement, following straight lines, curves or slight undulations, they can be interpreted in multiple ways, even becoming musical onomatopoeias. This will depend on you, who observes it.

I usually define my work as descriptive, accompanying this statement with the phrase “without additional meaning”, in an attempt to defend the viewer.

You have to know that the moment in which I finish the work coincides with its emancipation, since it becomes the absolute property of the eyes that contemplate it.

The catharsis that the work provokes and the sensations that the viewer consciously experiences become the only purpose of art; Far, very far from the function attributed to it as a “brand” and wealth.
I claim the freedom of the observer in front of the work; There are plenty of explanations and impositions made by the artist. It must be the viewer, using his or her freedom, who determines whether the work manifests or expresses something.

In short, I invite you to contemplate without prejudice.

For my part, in the realization, I try to overcome the WHY, choosing and enjoying the HOW, to find or reach the WHAT.

I try to avoid mediocrity, I approach provocation, and I question you with the clear intention of not leaving you indifferent… Whether you like it or not.
And I don’t say anything. The only voice, yours.
